Life and Times of the Messengers by Al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah

Life and Times of the Messengers by Al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah is an abridged English translation from the great history of Ibn Katheer, Al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah, presenting the stories of the prophets and messengers and their nations. It gathers accounts of figures including Moosa, Samuel, Zakariyya, Yahya and Eesa, together with Dhu’l Qarnayn and Luqman, the Children of Israa’eel, the divine scriptures and the nations of the past.

The book rests on a central Islamic belief: that all the prophets were sent to their nations to preach the same message of true monotheism and submission to the one God, Allah, and that belief in all of them, without distinction, is an essential part of faith. Their stories, with their trials, miracles and calls to tawheed, are presented as guidance for every generation.

Readers will explore:

• The lives and missions of the messengers before Muhammad
• Stories of patience, warning and deliverance across nations
• The shared message of monotheism carried by all prophets
• How these accounts illuminate faith, history and the Quran

This book is well suited to readers of Islamic history and Seerah, to families and students, and to anyone who wants a reliable and readable collection of the stories of the prophets. Order online from Books Garden with cash on delivery in Dhaka and delivery across Bangladesh.
