Sites of Genocide by Adam Jones

Sites of Genocide by Adam Jones examines the places where genocide happened, and what those places mean today.

The book considers genocide through its sites — the towns, camps and landscapes that bear witness to mass killing — and asks how such places are remembered, marked or forgotten. It treats sites as a way of understanding both the events themselves and the memory work that follows them.

What readers will explore:

• Genocide understood through its places
• Sites of killing, memory and mourning
• How societies mark or forget such places
• Memory, memorials and the work of remembrance

Who this book is for: Readers interested in genocide studies, history, and the politics of memory.
